The ‘ Malayalee Association of Quebec‘ was registered in 1977 as a non-profit organization with the objective of bringing the community together in maintaining the linguistic and cultural heritage of the homeland.  The Association organizes two major events every year.  One is the Onam celebration (a harvest festival) in September and the other is an annual celebration in May.  Both consists of cultural programs and feast in the Kerala style.  The Association organizes at least one community picnic every summer. Besides, it also sponsors programs like ski trips and New Year celebrations.  Members of other communities also participate in all the events organized by the Association.  This is a very delightful experience for the community.
