Malayalee Association of Quebec (MAQ) is a vibrant and inclusive non-profit organization that has been uniting the Malayalee community in Montreal since 1977. With a legacy spanning 48 years, MAQ is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich linguistic, cultural, and traditional heritage of Kerala in the heart of Quebec, Canada.
What started as a small community initiative has now grown into a strong and dynamic association with over 2,000 members. We serve as a cultural hub for Malayalees in Montreal and nearby areas, offering a welcoming space where members of all ages can connect, celebrate, and contribute to a shared identity.
Onam Celebration – A grand harvest festival held every September featuring traditional Kerala art, music, dance, and a sumptuous Onasadya feast.
Annual Celebration – A joyful cultural fest that includes performances, community recognition, and a Kerala-style dinner.
Summer Picnic – An outdoor gathering for families and friends to relax, play, and enjoy nature together.
Seasonal Events – From ski trips and New Year parties to Christmas and more, MAQ offers something for everyone across all seasons.
Our events are inclusive and open to members of other communities as well, fostering cultural exchange and mutual appreciation.
